Honor is set to release a July system update for its MagicOS operating system, which will eliminate the previous 60 FPS refresh rate limitation for screen sharing between phones and computers. The update will enable 120 FPS refresh rates for screen sharing, offering a smoother user experience.

This enhancement addresses a technical detail that has remained unoptimized since Honor's split from Huawei. According to technology site IT Zhaos reporting, this marks a first in the industry for this particular feature.

The new functionality extends to support 120 FPS screen sharing across multiple devices simultaneously, including phones and tablets. This expansion broadens the utility of the feature beyond single-device pairings.

In addition to the screen sharing improvement, the July MagicOS update includes other features such as dynamic photo watermarking and enhanced app cloning. The system will also introduce a new 3D photo lock screen and widgets for Bluetooth headphone battery levels and world clocks. The YOYO voice assistant will gain new capabilities, allowing users to send WeChat messages or initiate voice/video calls via voice commands.
