Honor has officially released its first robot phone globally, the Honor Robot Phone. Pre-orders for the device have surpassed 400,000 units, according to Luo Wei, Honor's chief imaging engineer. "If you don't act quickly, you might not be able to get one," Wei remarked on the strong demand.

Despite a starting price of 9,999 yuan, the high volume of pre-orders suggests significant interest in the specialized technology. The Robot Phone is a collaboration with cinema camera manufacturer ARRI, blending Honor's mobile imaging capabilities with ARRI's decades of film industry experience.

Technically, the phone features a substantial 200-megapixel main camera with gimbal stabilization and a 1/1.28-inch sensor, complemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The device also incorporates Honor's proprietary "Honor YU GUANG H1" image processing chip.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and sports a 6.31-inch 1.5K display. It also includes Honor's large language model YOYO, which offers emotional sensing capabilities, adapting to user emotions and usage habits.
