Honor Settles Trademark Dispute With E-commerce Seller
Tech company Honor has settled a lawsuit filed against an e-commerce seller for alleged trademark infringement related to mobile phone cases.
Chinese technology firm Honor has resolved a legal dispute with an e-commerce seller over the use of its trademark on mobile phone cases. The company had sued the seller for allegedly using phrases such as "Honor mobile phone case" in product titles, which Honor claimed constituted trademark infringement.
According to statements from both Honor and the seller, identified as Lin Jian, the parties have reached a settlement regarding the dispute. Lin Jian denied reports that he had paid 380,000 yuan (approximately $58,000) in damages, confirming that the matter has been resolved amicably.
Honor confirmed to media outlets that the issue has been "satisfactorily resolved." The company also stated its commitment to building its ecosystem and opening cooperation channels for related businesses.
Lin Jian also indicated that Honor is opening up cooperation channels for accessory makers, including phone case manufacturers. He expressed interest in becoming an official partner through Honor's ecosystem program and encouraged others in the industry to join in building Honor's network.
