Honor Watch 5 Pro scheduled for software update by end of July
Honor has announced that a new software version for the Honor Watch 5 Pro is planned for release before July 30. The company is also planning to update the watch’s MagicOS.
Honor announced via its product maintenance channel that a new software version for the Honor Watch 5 Pro is under development and scheduled for release before July 30. The update aims to deliver new features and improvements to users.
Alongside the software update, the company confirmed that an upgrade to the watch's MagicOS operating system is also being planned. A specific timeline for the MagicOS update has not yet been provided.
The Honor Watch 5 Pro was originally launched in October. It features the "Lingtong" sensing system, advanced optical design, and intelligent adjustment technologies. The device boasts a display with a peak brightness of 3000 nits and supports an on-wrist AI assistant, gesture controls, and real-time information previews.
The smartwatch debuted with a starting price of 1599 yuan. These upcoming updates are expected to enhance the user experience and expand the watch's capabilities, which previously included features such as potential blood pressure monitoring and cardiac arrest screening.
