Horizon Petroleum Commences Production Testing at Lachowice 7 Well in Poland

Horizon Petroleum announced the commencement of production testing at its Lachowice 7 (L7) well in southern Poland. The company's wholly owned Polish subsidiary, Energia Karpaty Zachodnie sp. z o.o. (EKZ), has completed an acid stimulation treatment and initiated production testing operations.

The well began flowing natural gas and condensate naturally on Tuesday. Preliminary flowback rates have reached 5.5 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) at a flowing wellhead pressure of approximately 2,500 psi. The company considers these initial results encouraging but notes the well remains in a cleanup phase and rates are preliminary, subject to change as the well stabilizes.

During the testing program, the company aims to gather further information on reservoir performance and production potential. The well previously demonstrated significant gas deliverability, with prior operators testing it at rates up to 8.9 MMcf/d in 1994. Initial rates may fluctuate during the cleanup period, with final conclusions to be made upon completion of the testing program.

Horizon Petroleum focuses on developing natural gas resources in Europe, contributing to energy independence. The company will provide further updates on the progress of production testing operations.
