Horizon Petroleum Completes Flow Testing at Lachowice-7 Gas Well

Calgary – Horizon Petroleum has concluded the primary flow testing program for its Lachowice-7 gas well, located in the Bielsko-Biala concession in southern Poland. The company's Polish subsidiary, Energia Karpaty Zachodnie sp. z o.o., conducted the operations.

The well has been shut in for a 30-day pressure build-up period, after which Horizon Petroleum expects to finalize its initial commercialization plan. The company has accelerated its timeline to begin production and generate cash flow, targeting an Early Production Phase in the third quarter of 2027.

During the testing, which followed mechanical workovers and stimulation, approximately 4,500 barrels of completion fluid were lost into the formation, indicating a highly permeable, naturally fractured reservoir. The main flow test, conducted over six days, saw gas flow rates decline from 5 million cubic feet (MMcf) to 2.5 MMcf per day.

Cumulatively, the Lachowice-7 well produced about 26.5 MMcf of natural gas, 170 barrels of condensate, and 1,680 barrels of completion fluid during the test phases. Based on these results, Horizon Petroleum aims to initiate an Early Production Phase focused on establishing electricity generation from natural gas, with potential for compressed natural gas (CNG) sales.
