Horse Powertrain opens engine component casting facility in Brazil
Horse Powertrain has invested 35 million euros in a new casting facility in Curitiba to localize the production of aluminum cylinder heads.

Horse Powertrain has commissioned a new casting facility in Curitiba, Brazil, dedicated to the production of engine cylinder heads. The project represents an investment of 200 million Brazilian reais, approximately 35 million euros, aimed at internalizing the supply chain for critical engine parts.
The plant is equipped to cast 210,000 aluminum cylinder heads annually. These parts will supply the H10 and H13 engine programs currently assembled at the Curitiba site. By establishing this capacity locally, the company reduces reliance on external component suppliers and streamlines its regional production flow.
This expansion is part of a broader move to consolidate Horse Powertrain’s manufacturing footprint. The new facility underscores the company's focus on maintaining vertical integration for its internal combustion engine operations in South America.
