Hovmand A/S supplies lifting aids to confectioner Karamel Kompagniet
Hovmand A/S has delivered two mobile lifting aids to Karamel Kompagniet to improve work safety and efficiency in the production of handmade gourmet caramels.

Danish manufacturer Hovmand A/S has supplied two customized mobile lifting aids to Karamel Kompagniet, a producer of handmade gourmet caramels. The initiative aims to reduce heavy manual labor and increase efficiency in the production process.
Karamel Kompagniet, located on the Danish island of Bornholm, has seen consistent growth in its production of handmade caramels. However, the manufacturing process involves significant heavy lifting, which has placed a strain on employees' backs, lumbar regions, and shoulders. To address this, the company invested in two lifting aids from Hovmand.
One of the new devices features a special stirring tank used daily for the caramel mass, which weighs approximately 60 kg. This tank is filled on the lifter and then moved to the cooling table without manual heavy lifting. An advanced tilting mechanism allows the 70 kg tank to be poured effortlessly.
The second device, nicknamed "gyro" by employees, is designed to facilitate the transfer of cooled caramel mass from the cooling table to the roller. Previously, this task required two individuals. The "gyro", a flexible and rotatable lifting solution, now allows a single employee to perform the task without physical exertion.
The implementation of these lifting aids has significantly streamlined workflows at Karamel Kompagniet. The elimination of heavy lifting has improved the working environment and boosted daily productivity. The company is considering acquiring an additional unit to accommodate growing production demands.
