Hovmand A/S has developed various lifting systems to efficiently and safely handle different types of rolls, such as packaging materials, in industrial settings.

The offering includes solutions for long rolls stored horizontally, which are transported and installed into machines using a specialized WAVE platform. For shorter rolls standing vertically, Hovmand provides the Reel Handler device, which grips the roll from the top and bottom, enabling transport in a vertical orientation.
Thicker and heavier rolls, stored standing with the core facing upwards, can be managed by a roll manipulator that grasps the roll's core. These manipulators can also rotate the rolls as required.
Lighter, shorter rolls can be handled using a Dorn-V-Block combination or a pallet truck fitted with a dorn. These systems allow for the transfer of rolls from pallets and their mounting onto machine shafts.
For rolls that are exceptionally thick and heavy, and cannot be manipulated manually, electric gripping tools are available. These devices can also rotate or tilt the rolls as necessary for proper installation into machinery.
