HP Launches OmniBook 5 14 and ProBook 4 G2iS 14 Laptops with Intel's "Wildcat Lake" Processor
HP announced on October 1st the release of two new laptops, the OmniBook 5 14 and ProBook 4 G2iS 14, both powered by Intel's third-generation "Wildcat Lake" processor. The models cater to consumer and business markets, respectively.
HP unveiled on October 1st its latest laptop offerings, the OmniBook 5 14 for consumers and the ProBook 4 G2iS 14 for business users, both featuring Intel's third-generation "Wildcat Lake" processor.
The OmniBook 5 14 boasts an aluminum unibody construction, measuring a mere 11.77mm in thickness and weighing 1.16kg. It supports a 180-degree hinge and offers an optional 2.5K OLED touchscreen. Connectivity includes two full-function USB-C ports, and the device features a Full HD IR camera with dual microphones. The audio system is tuned by Poly and certified by DTS:X Ultra.
Available in four color options—Smoke Silver, Starlight Blue, Peony Pink, and Soft Dew—the OmniBook 5 14 starts at $699.99 and is expected to launch in October.
The ProBook 4 G2iS 14 is positioned by HP as its thinnest business laptop. Its aluminum chassis measures 12mm thick and houses a 70Wh battery, with a starting weight of approximately 1,179 grams. The laptop is equipped with a 14-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED display that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
This business-focused model will be available in three colors: Eclipse Grey, Atmosphere Blue, and Mist Silver, with an anticipated release in November.
