HP today announced the OmniBook 5 14, a new laptop aimed directly at challenging Apple's MacBook Neo models. The device starts at $699.99, featuring an Intel Core 5 315 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD in its base configuration.
The OmniBook 5 14 will be available in four color options: silver, pink, blue, and green, mirroring similar offerings from competitors. A key differentiator for HP's new model is the inclusion of an OLED display on all configurations, promising enhanced visual quality.
Higher-end configurations of the OmniBook 5 14 can be equipped with up to a Core 7 350 chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. All models will feature a 1080p resolution display.
The launch of the HP OmniBook 5 14 enters a competitive premium laptop market. The device aims to provide an attractive option for consumers seeking thinness, lightness, and a high-quality display at a competitive price point.
