HPQ Silicium ready to send fumed silica samples for third-party testing
HPQ Silicium's subsidiary HPQ Polvere has produced over 1kg of fumed silica using its proprietary reactor technology. Samples are now available for shipment to third parties for testing.

HPQ Silicium's subsidiary, HPQ Polvere, has successfully produced nearly one kilogram of fumed silica using its proprietary Fumed Silica Reactor (FSR) technology. This milestone allows the company to begin sending samples of the material to interested third parties for testing and evaluation.
The company's FSR process transforms raw quartz (SiO2) into fumed silica in a single step. Recent tests indicate that the produced material exhibits structural characteristics comparable to commercial-grade fumed silica, falling between Aerosil 150 and Aerosil 200 grades when analyzed under Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).
Fumed silica is a fine white powder with applications across diverse industries, including personal care, pharmaceuticals, adhesives, sealants, construction, and automotive sectors. The global market for fumed silica was valued at approximately US$2.2 billion in 2022, with demand driven by its unique properties.
HPQ Polvere developed the FSR technology in partnership with PyroGenesis Canada Inc. The company stated that this initiative aligns with its commitment to green engineering processes and is positioned to become a significant standalone business.
