HPQ Silicium Receives Early Sample Request for Fumed Silica from Global Manufacturer
HPQ Silicium Inc. has received a request from a leading global fumed silica manufacturer for its first batch of produced material for evaluation. The request was made earlier than initially scheduled.

HPQ Silicium Inc. announced it has received a request from a leading global fumed silica manufacturer to receive samples of its first produced batch of material for evaluation. The request pertains to material manufactured by HPQ's subsidiary, HPQ Silica Polvere Inc. (HSPI), using its proprietary Fumed Silica Reactor (FSR) pilot plant.
The request for material shipment came earlier than initially planned, before technology supplier PyroGenesis Inc. had completed planned process and material optimizations within the ongoing testing program. This early interest highlights the growing recognition of HSPI's FSR technology's potential to convert quartz into fumed silica in a single step.
According to HPQ President and CEO Bernard Tourillon, the collaboration with the leading manufacturer is key to validating the HSPI FSR's ability to produce material meeting the manufacturer's specifications. He emphasized that this collaboration provides HSPI access to over 80 years of manufacturing and market expertise, accelerating development and commercialization efforts.
Feedback from the leading manufacturer is crucial for advancing the pilot plant program. The program's primary objectives include enhancing product purity to better determine market fit and improving process control and parameter stability to achieve higher production capacity.
