Suzanna Travers, a Head of HR, has developed an AI agent designed to serve as her personal interview coach. This proactive approach to her job search has resulted in her securing interviews in the second round for new positions.
Instead of relying solely on a traditional resume, Travers sought to actively demonstrate her capabilities. During a period between roles, she dedicated time to building a tool that showcases her artificial intelligence proficiency to prospective employers. This aligns with findings from LinkedIn's report on the Future of Recruiting, indicating that over 90 percent of talent acquisition professionals view accurate skills assessment as crucial for improving hire quality.
"I wasn’t treating my job search as a passive exercise," Travers stated. "I was actively developing my AI capabilities and building something I could put in front of a potential employer." The AI agent she created functions as a personal mentor throughout her application process.
Travers' project was undertaken through the HIC C-Level AI Cohort. Her strategy highlights a growing trend where candidates are expected to provide practical demonstrations of their skills, moving beyond simple listings, potentially enhancing their prospects for securing desirable roles.
