Sarah Broom, a 54-year-old HR Manager from Surrey, has detailed her experience with Arthrosamid®, a treatment for knee osteoarthritis.

Broom had suffered from ongoing right knee pain since a teenage accident, which led to multiple surgeries that progressively damaged her knee cartilage and resulted in osteoarthritis. While living abroad, she received temporary relief from hyaluronic acid injections, but their effectiveness diminished over time, especially after her return to the UK before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The recurrent pain began significantly impacting her sleep, exercise capacity, and overall quality of life. The onset of lockdowns delayed consultations, and when she finally saw a consultant, her fears were confirmed: the hyaluronic acid injections were no longer working. The pain made it difficult to manage her 5th-floor office commute and even sitting for extended periods became impossible, despite her otherwise good fitness level.

After a particularly painful trip to Seville earlier this year, where her knee became swollen and immobile, Broom actively sought non-surgical alternatives. She discovered Arthrosamid® online and consulted with Mr. James Platt at the Nuffield Hospital in Woking. Despite his assessment that her knee was in a severe condition, he deemed her an eligible candidate for Arthrosamid®.

Following the injection in March, Broom reported a complete absence of pain within days, far exceeding her expectations. Although advised to rest, she found she could already manage stairs and commutes. At her 8-week follow-up, Mr. Platt described her as a "super-responder." Broom states the treatment has been "life-changing," allowing her to return to exercise, travel, and daily activities without pain, a state she hasn't experienced since her youth.
