Huawei Automotive Solution Partners to Expand Smart Battery Swapping
Huawei's乾崑 intelligent automotive solution, together with Yinwang, CATL, and Shidianfu, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop an intelligent battery swapping ecosystem for electric vehicles.
Huawei's乾崑 intelligent automotive solution announced on October 19th that its subsidiary Yinwang is partnering with battery giant CATL and its subsidiary Shidianfu to build a comprehensive smart battery swapping ecosystem. The collaboration aims to create a seamless and automated charging experience for electric vehicles.
The agreement focuses on enhancing battery swapping technology and expanding the network of swapping stations. By integrating Huawei's乾崑 intelligent driving system with CATL's 'Chocolate Swapping' network, the partners plan to create a system that connects vehicle, station, and cloud data. This integration will enable vehicles to autonomously identify charging needs, locate stations, enter swapping bays, align with the swapping mechanism, and complete the entire process within approximately 99 seconds, including autonomous departure.
This initiative is designed to offer a 'sensoryless charging' experience, catering to the needs of autonomous driving. The partnership seeks to deepen cooperation in battery swapping and related infrastructure, building a systematic ecosystem. Yinwang, a Huawei company, already has a presence in charging and vehicle services, with its '10-minute乾崑 intelligent driving lifestyle circle' aiming to integrate services like payment, charging, and maintenance.
Company representatives, including CATL Chairman and CEO Robin Zeng and Huawei Senior Vice President and Yinwang CEO Jin Yuzhi, attended the signing ceremony in Ningde, Fujian. The collaboration signifies a move towards a more integrated and efficient future for electric vehicle charging and battery management, aiming to enhance user convenience and safety.
