Huawei Digital Power Showcases AI and Grid-Forming Solutions for Energy

Huawei Digital Power showcased new applications of its "grid forming + AI" concept in the renewable energy sector at the 4th International Digital Energy Expo (IDEE 2026), held in Shanghai from September 15-17.

The company focused its exhibition on demonstrating how these technologies can be utilized to build smart grids and enhance energy management. The presented solutions aim to improve the integration of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, into the grid while increasing system stability.

Grid-forming technology allows renewable energy sources to independently establish and maintain an electrical grid, reducing reliance on traditional power plants. The integration of artificial intelligence into this process enables real-time optimization, prediction, and fault detection, thereby improving grid efficiency and reliability.

Huawei stated that these solutions are crucial for the transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy system, addressing growing global energy demands and the challenges posed by climate change.
