Huawei Executive Highlights Phone Features for Senior Users
Huawei executive He Gang shared details on phone functionalities including scam call blocking and remote assistance for elders during a public announcement.
He Gang, CEO of Huawei Terminal BG, has detailed practical features available on Huawei smartphones. The announcement, timed with China's Chongyang Festival, which emphasizes respect for the elderly, focused on functionalities aimed at enhancing user experience and safety for all age groups.
Among the highlighted features is "Star Shield Anti-fraud," designed to automatically identify and block fraudulent calls. This aims to protect users, particularly seniors, from common telephone scams. Additionally, "Care Mode" simplifies the user interface with enlarged elements, improving readability and ease of use for those with visual impairments or less tech familiarity.
The "Close Circle" feature within the HarmonyOS 7 operating system also enables screen sharing and remote assistance. This allows family members to remotely help elders troubleshoot issues on their devices, bridging generational technology gaps and providing support without physical proximity.
Gang also pointed to "Xiao Yi Photo Editing" and "Xiao Yi Customer Service" tools. The photo editing function offers simplified image manipulation, while the AI-powered customer service assistant provides on-device support. These offerings reflect Huawei's focus on making technology more accessible and user-friendly.
