Huawei's FreeClip 2 ear clip earbuds have seen their price drop below 1000 yuan in certain regions of China, with the lowest price recorded at 978 yuan when utilizing government subsidies. The original retail price for the earbuds was 1299 yuan.

Depending on the location, consumers can benefit from either a 10% or 15% government subsidy. A 10% subsidy brings the price down to 1034 yuan, while a 15% subsidy reduces it to 976.8 yuan. In areas without these subsidies, a direct 150 yuan discount is applied, resulting in a final price of 1149 yuan.

The FreeClip 2 features Huawei's third-generation low-power chip and an NPU AI processor, offering ten times the processing power. They also support HarmonyOS AI features, including head-gesture controls for notifications and intelligent voice prompts.

These earbuds are equipped with 10.8mm open-type dual-diaphragm acoustic units and provide up to 9 hours of listening time on a single charge. With the charging case, the total battery life extends to 38 hours. The FreeClip 2 supports L2HC audio coding and features spatial audio with a 40% reduction in latency for head-tracking.

Weighing 5.1 grams per earbud, the FreeClip 2 boasts an IP57 dust and water resistance rating. Huawei has also updated the materials, using skin-friendly liquid silicone and high-performance memory metal for enhanced comfort and durability.
