Huawei GT Runner 2 Smartwatch Brings Elite Training Science to Brazil

Huawei has introduced its HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 smartwatch to the Brazilian market, aiming to provide everyday runners with the professional-grade GPS accuracy and dedicated marathon training features previously reserved for elite athletes.

Historically, precise pacing and endurance monitoring required sophisticated equipment and dedicated technical support, making laboratory-level data accessible only to top-tier competitors. The GT Runner 2 democratizes this technology, bringing it to any runner's wrist.

The development of the watch involved two-time Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge, who serves as the global brand ambassador for Huawei's smartwatches. Kipchoge is currently on his two-year "Eliud's Running World" tour, running a marathon on each of the seven continents to inspire global adoption of more active lifestyles.

The HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 features an "Intelligent Marathon" mode, designed to support World Athletics-certified races. This mode includes a virtual pacer that monitors the runner's pace in real-time, guiding them to meet their target times over the full 42.195-kilometer distance. This level of in-race guidance was traditionally exclusive to professionals.
