Huawei HarmonyOS 6.1.0.135 Update Reveals Hidden Features

Huawei has begun rolling out HarmonyOS 6.1.0.135 to a range of its devices, focusing on improvements to AI photo editing tools like color correction and object removal, alongside enhanced system stability. However, deeper testing has revealed several features not detailed in the initial release notes.

Among the newly discovered functionalities are optimizations to default icons, which now feature light effects on their edges. The control page for headphone settings within the Smart Life app has undergone a layout adjustment. A significant addition allows users to control the volume of individual applications separately, an option that needs to be manually enabled in the sound and vibration settings.

The update also addresses a display bug in the settings for the Xiao Yi AI assistant. For the Huawei Mate X6 foldable phone, support has been added for setting different wallpapers on the internal and external screens. Furthermore, a new feature provides direct access to services after taking a screenshot, and the Wallet & Payment settings now have a dedicated section.

Currently, this version is being pushed to models including the Mate 80, Mate X7, and Pura X series. Huawei is expected to make the update available for the Mate 60 and Pura 70 series next month, broadening user access to these new capabilities.
