Huawei HarmonyOS 7 Sees 5 Million Upgrades in 24 Hours
Huawei announced that its new HarmonyOS 7 operating system achieved over 5 million device upgrades within 24 hours of its release.
Chinese technology giant Huawei has released its HarmonyOS 7 operating system, which has rapidly gained traction among users. The company reported that more than 5 million devices were upgraded to the new system within the first 24 hours following its launch.
HarmonyOS 7 introduces several new features, including an upgraded "Xiao Yi" AI assistant capable of executing complex tasks with a single command, leveraging over 2100 system capabilities and 500 ecosystem skills. The system also incorporates the new "Harmony Intelligence" architecture and enhancements to the user experience, such as spatial computing aimed at bringing realistic lighting to the digital world. The interface features new 3D space wallpapers and dynamic effects.
Security has also been bolstered with a new "Xingdune" security system that employs artificial intelligence for proactive threat defense, particularly in combating fraud. The operating system also offers improvements in performance and battery life, including a "Performance Mode" that keeps up to 16 applications active in the background. User experience has been optimized for various applications, including map, finance, and e-commerce apps.
The new operating system also includes advancements in device connectivity and privacy. The "Touch-to-transfer" feature has gained an encryption capability, and remote file transfer has been enhanced. Huawei reported that the total number of HarmonyOS 6 and 7 devices has surpassed 85 million. The company anticipates that the total number of HarmonyOS devices will exceed 100 million within the fourth quarter of this year.
