Huawei's developer portal has updated its data on HarmonyOS API version usage across devices as of June 19, 2026. The latest figures indicate that the newest HarmonyOS 7.0.0 Beta1, corresponding to API level 26.0.0 Beta1, has reached 0.17% of the device ecosystem.

This notable increase for the beta version contrasts with the significant decline of older system iterations. Several API versions under HarmonyOS 5.0.0, including 5.0.0 (API 12), 5.0.1 (API 13), and 5.0.4 (API 16), have recorded zero or near-zero usage. HarmonyOS 5.1.1 (API 6.1.1(24)) remains the highest version number in the 5.X family, but accounts for only 0.21% of devices.

Domination by the 6.1 branch continues, with HarmonyOS 6.1.0 (API 6.1.0(23)) holding 60.20% of the market share. Its successor, 6.1.1 (API 6.1.1(24)), has climbed to 34.40%. Combined, these 6.1 versions represent over 94% of all HarmonyOS devices currently tracked.

HarmonyOS 7 was officially released on June 12, 2026, with the developer kit for API 26.0.0 Beta1 made available. Enhancements in this release include improved graphical material effects, expanded file sharing capabilities, and strengthened device security features.
