Huawei HarmonyOS Starlight Gala Scheduled for December 5
CCTV will host the HarmonyOS Starlight Gala in Shenzhen this December as Huawei reports its operating system installation base approaching 100 million devices.
CCTV has confirmed that the 2026 HarmonyOS Starlight Gala is set for December 5 at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center. The event will focus on the maturity of the HarmonyOS ecosystem and the progression of application development for the operating system.
Huawei has reported significant growth for its software platform. Recent data indicates that the number of devices running HarmonyOS 6 and 7 has surpassed 90 million. The company expects to exceed 100 million users by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026, signaling a rapid adoption rate for the domestic operating system.
Industry observers note that the event highlights the functional integration of key applications. Over the past year, major developers have updated their software to fully support HarmonyOS-specific capabilities, including system-level intelligent agents and cross-device functionality.
The upcoming gala is expected to serve as a platform for Huawei to showcase its progress in scaling the HarmonyOS ecosystem to a broader user base.
