Huawei Launches Intelligent RAIL 2.0 to Accelerate Global Railway Digitalization
Huawei unveiled its Intelligent RAIL 2.0 solution at InnoTrans 2026, aiming to advance smart solutions and digitalization across the global railway industry.
Berlin, Germany – Technology firm Huawei has launched its next-generation Intelligent RAIL 2.0 solution series at InnoTrans 2026, the world's largest railway transport trade fair. The suite is designed to accelerate the global railway industry's adoption of smart solutions and digitalization.
The launch event, held from September 22-25, brought together industry organizations such as the International Union of Railways (UIC) and the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), alongside global customers and ecosystem partners, to discuss the future of railways.
Speakers including Jean-Michel Evanghelou from UIC highlighted the significance of FRMCS for future digital infrastructure and the growing importance of standardizing AI applications within the railway sector. A UITP research report detailed how AI is being applied in metro construction, operations, and maintenance to enhance efficiency and safety.
Huawei stated that Intelligent RAIL 2.0 focuses on three core areas: construction, passenger and freight transport, and facility and equipment maintenance. The company has a track record of serving over 50 major railway clients and more than 300 urban rail lines globally.
