Huawei Launches Intelligent RAIL 2.0 to Accelerate Global Railway Intelligence Upgrade
Huawei unveiled its next-generation Intelligent RAIL 2.0 solutions at InnoTrans 2026, designed to provide multi-scenario intelligent applications and accelerate the global railway industry's digital transformation.
BERLIN – At InnoTrans 2026, Huawei introduced Intelligent RAIL 2.0, a new suite of solutions aimed at enhancing intelligence across the global railway sector. The launch event convened industry organizations, including the International Union of Railways (UIC) and the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), alongside global customers and partners.
Discussions at the event focused on the future of rail, with UIC representatives highlighting the significance of FRMCS (Future Railway Mobile Communication System) as a foundational step for digital infrastructure and the increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. UITP also presented findings on AI's role in improving operational efficiency and safety in rail transport systems.
Huawei's "intelligent RAIL" strategy, presented by Raymond Zuo, President of Huawei's Smart Rail BU, focuses on leveraging digital and intelligent technologies to improve railway safety, automation, integrated services, and long-term evolution. The new Intelligent RAIL 2.0 includes 20 scenario-based solutions targeting areas such as construction, passenger and freight transportation, and facility maintenance.
With a track record of serving over 50 major railway customers and more than 300 urban rail lines worldwide, Huawei positions itself as a partner for digital transformation. The company plans to continue collaborating with industry stakeholders to integrate cutting-edge technologies, aiming to foster a safer, more efficient, and greener intelligent future for global rail transportation.
