Huawei Launches Intelligent RAIL 2.0 to Accelerate Railway Intelligence
Huawei unveiled Intelligent RAIL 2.0 at InnoTrans 2026, a new generation of solutions designed to provide intelligent, multi-scenario services for the global railway industry.

At InnoTrans 2026, the world's largest railway transport exhibition, Huawei launched Intelligent RAIL 2.0. This new generation of solutions aims to deliver intelligent services across multiple scenarios for the global railway industry, accelerating its modernization.
The launch event brought together industry organizations such as the UIC (International Union of Railways) and UITP (International Association of Public Transport). UIC's Jean-Michel Evanghelou highlighted the importance of FRMCS for building a solid digital foundation in railways and the increasing integration of AI applications. UITP representatives discussed research and global implementations of AI-driven solutions in metro systems, noting improvements in operational efficiency and safety.
Raymond Zuo, President of Huawei's Smart Rail Business Unit, stated that as society enters the era of intelligence, integrating digital technologies is key to addressing traditional industry challenges. He pointed to trends like the shift from GSM-R to FRMCS, the move towards predictive maintenance, the evolution of freight transport, and enhancing passenger travel experiences.
Huawei's "intelligent RAIL" strategy leverages digital technologies to continuously improve railway safety, efficiency, and services. Intelligent RAIL 2.0 introduces 20 scenario-specific solutions focused on three core areas: construction, passenger and freight transport, and facility/equipment maintenance. Huawei provides the communication and digital platforms, while partners focus on industrial applications, offering modular solutions tailored to specific business needs.
To date, Huawei has served over 50 major railway customers globally and more than 300 urban rail transit lines, covering over 180,000 kilometers of track. The company continues to collaborate with global customers and partners to drive the digital transformation of the railway industry towards a safer, more efficient, and sustainable future.
