Huawei Launches Intelligent RAIL 2.0 to Boost Global Railway Intelligence

Berlin – Huawei launched its new generation Intelligent RAIL 2.0 solution at InnoTrans 2026, the world's largest rail transport exhibition. The system is designed to provide multi-scenario intelligent solutions for the global railway industry. The launch event included participation from industry organizations such as the UIC (International Union of Railways) and UITP (International Association of Public Transport), alongside global customers and ecosystem partners.

The Intelligent RAIL 2.0 initiative aims to enhance safety, efficiency, and integration within rail transport. UIC representatives highlighted the importance of FRMCS as a foundation for digital transformation and the deepening integration of AI applications. UITP presented a research report on AI-driven smart rail transport, detailing AI's deployment in construction, operation, and maintenance to improve efficiency and safety.

Huawei's new offering focuses on three core areas: construction, passenger and freight transport, and facility and equipment maintenance. The Intelligent RAIL 2.0 includes 20 scenario-based solutions developed in collaboration with partners. Huawei focuses on communication and digital platforms, while partners specialize in industry-specific applications.

To date, Huawei has served over 50 major railway customers worldwide and more than 300 urban rail lines, covering over 180,000 kilometers of track. The company plans to continue its collaboration with customers and partners to foster deeper integration of technology and rail scenarios, aiming for a safer, more efficient, and greener future for global rail transportation.
