Huawei launches LUTERRA S2 energy storage system at global summit
Huawei convened over 1,000 global partners in China to unveil its LUTERRA S2 all-in-one energy storage system and updated installer support strategy.
Huawei hosted its 7th Global Installer Summit in Dongguan, China, from October 21–23, 2026. The event brought together more than 1,000 industry partners from 54 countries to discuss the future of the residential energy market and new service strategies for installer networks.
The centerpiece of the summit was the debut of the LUTERRA S2, an all-in-one energy storage system utilizing Full-SiC (Silicon Carbide) technology. Huawei stated that the system is designed to reduce logistical costs and installation times, with claims that the unit can be fully set up in under 10 minutes. The product aims to provide a 10% increase in usable capacity and improved lifetime energy performance compared to previous iterations.
To date, Huawei’s digital power division has provided energy systems to over 4.3 million homeowners worldwide. The company confirmed that the LUTERRA S2 will be available in the European market beginning in November, with an Asia-Pacific release scheduled for December.
