Huawei Launches Mate 90 Phone Series, Extends Seres Partnership
Huawei unveiled its new Mate 90 smartphone series, featuring the Kirin 9030 chip. The company also announced a new five-year cooperation agreement with Seres for their AITO automotive brand.
Huawei has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone lineup, the Mate 90 series. The announcement event on October 1st showcased several models, including the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, and Mate 90 RS. These devices are powered by the new Kirin 9030 chipset and run on Huawei's HarmonyOS, with prices starting at 5999 yuan.
In parallel, Huawei revealed a new five-year cooperation agreement with automaker Seres. This partnership aims to further develop the AITO automotive brand and its services. The agreement, signed in Shenzhen, seeks to deepen collaboration and drive brand growth. The AITO user base has now surpassed 1.2 million.
Automotive sales figures for September 2026 show BYD leading the market with over 460,000 vehicles sold. The AITO brand, a product of the Huawei-Seres collaboration, reported deliveries exceeding 10,000 units in its first month. Separately, Huawei announced that its HarmonyOS operating system has surpassed 90 million active devices.
Reports also suggest Apple may be preparing to launch new smart home products, with promotional materials reportedly sent to Apple Stores globally. This news emerges as Huawei continues its product cycle across multiple technology sectors.
