Huawei Launches Xinghe AI CloudCampus SaaS Platform in South Africa
Huawei has unveiled its new "Xinghe AI CloudCampus" SaaS platform in Johannesburg, aimed at lowering AI adoption barriers and supporting digital transformation in the country.

Johannesburg, July 27, 2026 – Huawei today launched its new "Xinghe AI CloudCampus" SaaS platform at the Huawei Network Summit 2026 (HNS 2026) in Johannesburg. The platform is designed to reduce the obstacles to AI adoption and facilitate digital transformation for local businesses, bolstering the region's digital economy.
The "Xinghe AI CloudCampus" platform features four key capabilities: flexibility, agility, intelligence, and scalability. These are intended to provide South African government and enterprise organizations with a centralized, secure, and reliable cloud-managed network infrastructure. The service operates on a pure SaaS subscription model, eliminating the need for upfront capital expenditure and offering flexible pay-as-you-grow options. Supported by a local service team, the platform ensures data privacy and regulatory compliance, along with automated periodic updates.
Agility is enhanced through SD-Branch technology, enabling mass configuration of branch networks and plug-and-play device deployment for rapid site setup, improving responsiveness by over 80%. The platform's AI-powered operations and maintenance (O&M) proactively identifies and resolves 80% of common network issues, reducing mean time to repair (MTTR) and operational costs.
The platform integrates Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN, and security functions across all scenarios, designed for scalable expansion to support business growth. It also provides industry-specific solutions, including customer traffic analysis for retail and reliable online learning networks for educational institutions. "We have deeply integrated AI into our cloud management service platform, enabling SMEs to easily access these capabilities as a cloud service," stated Shi Lei, Vice President of NCE Data Communication Domain, Huawei's Data Communication Product Line. "We will continue to invest in our local operations and work hand-in-hand with our South African customers and partners to build a solid foundation for the digital economy."
