China-based electric vehicle brand AITO, which has ties to Huawei, is preparing for a European market entry in 2027. The brand will showcase four SUV models at the 2026 Paris Motor Show.

AITO, an electric vehicle brand with links to technology giant Huawei, is preparing to enter the European market in 2027. The company has initiated the European Union's Whole Vehicle Type Approval certification process as part of its market entry preparations.
Seres, the automaker behind AITO, has previously stated its intention to advance overseas expansion across the AITO lineup and build an international marketing and service network. AITO plans to present four SUV models โ the AITO 6, AITO 7, AITO 8, and AITO 9 โ at the 2026 Paris Motor Show.
The planned European expansion places AITO among a growing number of Chinese EV manufacturers seeking to compete in the region. Successfully navigating the EU type-approval process is a prerequisite for selling vehicles within the European Union, requiring compliance with stringent safety and emissions standards.
AITO's move into Europe is part of a broader trend of Chinese automakers expanding their global footprint, particularly in the electric vehicle sector, leveraging technological advancements to compete internationally.
