Huawei Mate TV 2 Smart TV Series Opens for Pre-Order
Huawei has begun pre-orders for its new Mate TV 2 smart TV series, the company's first television featuring HarmonyOS 7 and a Kirin 9-series flagship chip.
Chinese technology firm Huawei has commenced pre-orders for its Mate TV 2 smart TV series. This launch marks Huawei's first television equipped with the HarmonyOS 7 operating system and powered by its Kirin 9-series flagship chipset. The series is available in multiple sizes and configurations, with prices starting at 7999 yuan.
The Mate TV 2 series comprises three tiers: Mate TV 2 Yuxiang, Mate TV 2, and Mate TV 2 Pro. The Yuxiang model, available in 65, 75, and 85-inch sizes, is priced at 7999, 9999, and 13999 yuan respectively. The standard Mate TV 2 starts at 9999 yuan for a 65-inch display and goes up to 26999 yuan for a 98-inch screen. The premium Pro version begins at 16999 yuan for a 75-inch model and extends to 34999 yuan for the largest 98-inch option.
These televisions feature the new Kirin T92 chip and HarmonyOS 7, promising significant performance upgrades, including a 490% increase in single-core performance compared to previous generations. The display utilizes Huawei's Black Diamond Super MiniLED technology, capable of reaching a peak brightness of 4000 nits. The picture quality is further enhanced by鸿鹄 (Honghu) color technology and AI-driven enhancements that can upscale 1080p content to 4K resolution.
Design-wise, the televisions boast a slim profile with a depth of only 36.9 mm and support for near-flush wall mounting. The user interface introduces new interactive capabilities, allowing for smartphone-like operation on the large screen and compatibility with a stylus for drawing. The device also supports a wide range of HarmonyOS applications, enabling direct use of mobile apps on the TV.
