Huawei previews hardware privacy display for Mate XT2 foldable phone

Huawei has previewed a hardware-level privacy display for its upcoming Mate XT2 tri-fold smartphone. Users can activate the feature with a double tap on the outer screen, which narrows visibility from side angles while remaining clear from the front.

The company stated that this feature addresses privacy concerns when using a large foldable device in public places, such as airports and high-speed trains. This new display technology aims to significantly improve privacy when the large foldable phone is used in public environments.

The Mate XT2 is currently open for reservations in China and is scheduled for launch on September 7.
