Huawei releases HarmonyOS 7 update for nova 16 SE
Huawei has rolled out the stable HarmonyOS 7 update for the nova 16 SE smartphone, bringing visual interface enhancements previously reserved for newer flagship devices.
Huawei has officially launched the stable version of HarmonyOS 7 for the nova 16 SE, migrating the device to its latest operating system version. The update, identified as 7.0.0.111 SP10, integrates the device into the broader HarmonyOS 7 ecosystem, aligning its software capabilities with the rest of the nova 16 series.
The update adds specific visual refinements, including immersive lighting effects that adjust transparency and interaction halos across the lock screen, home screen, and notification center. Additionally, the system now supports particle animations triggered by interface interactions, such as removing icons or clearing notifications.
Originally launched with HarmonyOS 6.1, the nova 16 SE features a 6.84-inch OLED display, a Kirin 8020 chipset, and an 8,500mAh battery. This software deployment reflects Huawei's ongoing effort to provide feature updates to its existing hardware base, extending the life cycle of its devices through software optimization.
