Huawei Reports HarmonyOS Ecosystem Reaches 11 Million Developers
Huawei announced that its HarmonyOS developer base has surpassed 11 million members. Additionally, the company reported that the number of native applications for its PC ecosystem has exceeded 21,000.
During the Huawei Qingyun 2026 Summit on November 5, Ning Shenglan, president of Global Ecosystem Development for Huawei’s Terminal Business Group, confirmed that the HarmonyOS developer community has reached 11 million individuals. The company is actively recruiting and training over 100,000 new developers monthly to sustain this growth.
Huawei also highlighted the diversification of the HarmonyOS ecosystem, noting that the number of independent applications developed for its PC platform has now passed the 21,000 mark. This expansion is central to Huawei’s strategy to transition HarmonyOS from a mobile-centric system into a broader professional computing environment.
The figures reflect Huawei’s ongoing efforts to build a sustainable, self-reliant software ecosystem. By aggressively expanding the developer base and application catalog, the company aims to solidify its position in the domestic software market and compete more effectively against legacy operating systems.
