Huawei reports over one million shipments of HarmonyOS-powered PCs
Huawei's tablet and PC division head Zhu Dongdong announced that the company has shipped over one million computers running the HarmonyOS operating system.
Huawei has reached a key milestone in its PC business, with total shipments of computers running its HarmonyOS operating system surpassing the one-million mark. The figures were disclosed by Zhu Dongdong, president of Huawei’s terminal tablet and PC product line, during the HarmonyOS office industry summit on November 5.
This development marks a significant move in Huawei's strategy to migrate its domestic operating system from mobile devices to enterprise-grade computing hardware. By diversifying its hardware portfolio, the company aims to establish a consistent ecosystem across different device classes.
Zhu also hinted at the upcoming launch of a new PC product, noting that teaser campaigns are scheduled to begin next week. The company continues to invest in optimizing HarmonyOS for productivity hardware to compete in the professional computing market.
