Huawei Showcases Six Global Energy Projects Integrating AI and Power Systems
Huawei presented six global energy sector reference projects at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, demonstrating the synergy of AI and digital technology in creating a new power system. Over 600 industry representatives attended the event.
Shanghai – At the HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 conference, Huawei unveiled six global reference projects within the energy sector. These initiatives highlight the integration of digital and intelligent technologies across the entire energy value chain, from generation to consumption.
The Global Electric Power Summit 2026, held as part of the conference, brought together more than 600 global energy company representatives, industry associations, and ecosystem partners. The discussions focused on exploring new pathways for the energy transition through the synergy of digital and intelligent technologies.
Among the showcased projects were a digital and intelligent power grid for CEMIG in Brazil, a demonstration zone for new power systems by China Southern Power Grid, and intelligent diagnosis and operation for new power distribution networks in Shaoshan, China. These projects illustrate successful digital transformations in various energy scenarios.
Significant attention was given to low-voltage management, which Huawei identifies as a key area for future AI applications. The company emphasized the need for faster, higher-quality, and more cost-effective data to achieve transparency and efficiency at the low-voltage level. Huawei also stressed the importance of digital talent, digital infrastructure, and digitally managed assets for the industry's advancement.
