Huawei Smartwatches Get HarmonyOS 7 Update with Home Control Features
Huawei is updating its smartwatches with HarmonyOS 7, enabling users to control smart home devices directly from their wrists. The update allows for managing various devices and executing preset scenarios.

Huawei has introduced new capabilities for its smartwatches through an update to the HarmonyOS 7 operating system. This update enables users to control smart home devices directly from their wrists.
The new features allow users to view and manage their smart home equipment, such as lights and smart speakers, and activate pre-set scenarios with a single tap. This functionality is available for Huawei WATCH Ultimate series and other compatible Huawei WATCH smartwatches running HarmonyOS 7.X or later.
The update is being rolled out via the Huawei Smart Home App. The latest version of the app, 17.0.3.312, also brings improvements to detecting devices that are offline and faster location of new devices.
HarmonyOS 7 was officially released at the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2026 in June. The stable version for consumers is slated for release in the fall and will bring significant enhancements to the operating system's functionality and integration with smart home products.
