Huawei sub-brand OSTA readies first smartphone model
Industry reports indicate that Huawei is preparing to launch a new sub-brand named OSTA, with the O1 Pro smartphone set to be its debut device.
Reports surfacing from industry analysts and online trackers suggest that Huawei is establishing a new sub-brand under the English name OSTA. The company’s first device, designated the OSTA O1 Pro, is reportedly designed as a flat-screen smartphone targeting the online retail market.
Preliminary technical specifications suggest the O1 Pro will feature a 6.39-inch 1.5K LTPS display with thin bezels. Memory options are expected to range from 12GB to 16GB of RAM, with storage capacities reaching up to 1TB. The device is expected to be offered in three color variants: black, white, and violet.
While Huawei has held trademark rights related to the “Xingmang” name since 2023, the company has not yet provided an official roadmap for the brand’s expansion. Analysts note that trademark filings are common practice and do not guarantee immediate product availability, citing previous rumors of sub-brands that failed to reach the consumer market.
