Huawei unveils LUTERRA S2 home energy system at global summit
Huawei gathered 1,000 installers in Dongguan to launch its new silicon carbide-based energy system, aiming to streamline residential renewable energy deployments.

Huawei held its 7th Global Installer Summit in Dongguan, China, from October 21–23, 2026, bringing together partners from 54 countries to discuss the future of residential energy ecosystems. The summit focused on addressing the technical challenges of renewable energy installation and improving efficiency in residential solar deployment.
A key highlight was the introduction of the LUTERRA S2, an all-in-one residential system utilizing silicon carbide (SiC) technology. Huawei claims the system is entirely wireless and designed to reduce logistics and storage requirements through a single-SKU model. During a competition held at the event, installers managed to assemble the unit in under three minutes, highlighting the company's focus on simplifying the installation process for contractors.
Huawei, which has provided energy solutions to over 4.3 million households, confirmed that the LUTERRA S2 will be available in Europe in November and the Asia-Pacific region in December. The move is part of the company's broader strategy to expand its footprint in low-carbon generation and smart energy management.
