Huawei unveils upgraded Xinghe intelligent network for Southern Africa
Huawei has launched an enhanced version of its Xinghe intelligent network solution for the Southern Africa region, focusing on "secure and intelligent connectivity" in the era of AI.
Huawei unveiled an upgraded Xinghe intelligent network solution at the Huawei Network Summit 2026 in Johannesburg, targeting the Southern Africa region. The company stated the enhancement aligns with its new philosophy of "secure and intelligent connectivity," aiming to address the rapid growth of AI agents.
Leon Wang, president of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, explained that as AI integrates into key production processes, networks are evolving towards an AI-centric architecture. This architecture is built on four pillars: lossless computing, integrated sensing and communication, comprehensive security, and network autonomy.
Vincent Chen, vice president of Huawei's Enterprise Business for Southern Africa, noted that AI adoption in Africa is moving from pilot projects to concrete deployments, accelerating intelligent transformation across sectors. Huawei aims to advance intelligence in all industries by collaborating with partners to build a secure and reliable intelligent network infrastructure.
The company also introduced the enhanced "Xinghe Intelligent Network" product portfolio and the "Xinghe AI CloudCampus" SaaS platform. These offerings are designed to meet the evolving demands and unprecedented technical constraints imposed by AI agents on network infrastructure, addressing challenges such as computing power gaps and new AI-based threats.
