Huawei updates AI capabilities for Mate 90 series
Huawei has expanded the AI functionality for its Mate 90 smartphone series, integrating advanced note-taking and automation features across over 100 applications.
Huawei has announced a significant update to its Celia AI assistant for the Mate 90 series, running on HarmonyOS 7. The update focuses on two primary areas: enhanced note-taking capabilities and trigger-based AI automation, both of which are now supported by more than 100 third-party applications.
The system utilizes Huawei’s intelligent sensing engine to process text and images with reduced power consumption. The memo feature is designed to extract and summarize information, while the trigger-based AI proactively offers service recommendations and automated input assistance based on the user's current activity.
Launched in early October, the Mate 90 series is powered by Huawei’s proprietary Kirin chipsets. This update reflects the company’s ongoing effort to deepen the integration between hardware performance and system-level software services, aiming to improve user experience through increased automation.
