Chinese technology outlet IT Home reports that Huawei has updated its support list for the new "immersive light and particle effects" introduced with HarmonyOS 7. These enhancements aim to improve the operating system's visual responsiveness, such as creating light trails when dragging icons or making notification dismissals appear as dissipating particles.

The update extends support to several previously released device models. Notably, phones in the Mate 60 series, the Pura 80 and Pura 90 series, and various MatePad tablets require HarmonyOS 7.0.0.105SP10 or a higher version to enable these visual features. Some models, like the Mate XT 2, already ship with support for these effects.

The "immersive light and particle effects" allow for more dynamic visual feedback, simulating light following finger movements when interacting with icons or visual elements dispersing upon dismissal. The goal is to create a more fluid and engaging user interface experience.

It is specified that devices in the Huawei Pocket 2 series and certain MatePad Air models, such as the "Enjoyment Edition," are not included in this visual effects update. Huawei has provided a detailed list of supported models and required software versions on its official channels, allowing users to check their device compatibility.
