Huawei Updates Stellar Intelligent Network Solution for Europe

Huawei unveiled updated versions of its Stellar Intelligent Network solutions at the Huawei Network Summit 2026 in Florence. The company stated the updated solutions are based on the philosophy of "secure and intelligent connectivity."

The updates apply to Stellar Intelligent Fabric, Stellar Intelligent WAN, and Stellar Intelligent Campus Network. For Fabric, Huawei is utilizing its proprietary 100T switches in a two-layer architecture, which quadruples network capacity and reduces the number of switches and optical modules by 30 percent, aiming to lower the total cost of ownership (TCO). The Network Packet Load Balancing (NPLB) algorithm is reported to achieve 98% link utilization and improve training and inference performance by over 7 percent.

The Stellar Intelligent WAN solution incorporates Huawei's Starnet algorithm, promising over 95% inter-regional computing efficiency and a 60% reduction in dedicated line costs. New model partitioning technology is designed to keep raw data local, mitigating data leakage risks. An integrated Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) card combines quantum communication and security, while aiming to reduce distribution costs by over 60 percent.

For the Stellar Intelligent Campus Network, Huawei's multi-AP coordination technology and intelligent antennas reportedly reduce wireless interference by 84 percent. The company also introduced new eKit SME Network products for small and medium-sized enterprises, featuring enhanced performance and security capabilities.
