Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 Brings Pro Marathon Science to Brazil with Eliud Kipchoge
The HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 smartwatch has launched in Brazil, featuring two-time Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge. The watch brings laboratory-developed precision technology to real-world athletic performance.

Professional marathon running technology is now accessible to all runners with the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 smartwatch. The device, leveraging laboratory-level precision, has been introduced to the Brazilian market.
Two-time Olympic champion and marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge was involved in the development of the watch. Kipchoge helped create a device that offers professional-level precision features, including stable GPS tracking and comprehensive monitoring throughout a marathon. These capabilities have been validated in real race conditions, including through Kipchoge's own runs.
"Every continent has its own spirit, and I want to share this journey with South America, inspiring people to believe that no human has any limits," Kipchoge stated. His participation in the Porto Alegre Marathon with the HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 on his wrist highlights the fusion of elite athletic performance and technological innovation.
The watch includes a Smart Marathon Mode designed to support World Athletics-certified races. It features a virtual pace guide that calculates real-time pace deviations, aiding runners in achieving their goals kilometer by kilometer. This level of assistance, previously reserved for elite athletes, is now available to the general public.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 was developed in collaboration with the dsm-firmenich high-performance team. Its introduction in Brazil signifies technology's aim to democratize sports science and bring advanced tracking features to all runners.
