Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 brings professional running science to consumers
Huawei's new HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 aims to bring professional-grade GPS accuracy and marathon-optimized training insights to all runners. The device was developed with input from marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge.

BRASILIA, Brazil โ July 14, 2026 โ Huawei has launched its HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 smartwatch in Brazil, promising to deliver professional-level GPS accuracy and marathon-optimized training data to everyday runners.
The watch's development involved two-time Olympic champion and marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge, who served as a global ambassador and helped test the device's real-world performance.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT Runner 2 is designed to offer precise and stable GPS positioning, along with real-time performance tracking. A key feature is the "Intelligent Marathon" mode, which monitors World Athletics-sanctioned race formats and provides support through training, race day, and recovery.
It includes a virtual pacer that analyzes a runner's pace and offers live feedback to meet targets. While such advanced features were previously exclusive to elite athletes, Huawei intends for the GT Runner 2 to make them widely accessible. Kipchoge wore the watch during the Porto Alegre marathon, symbolizing the integration of elite athletic performance and technological innovation.
