Huawei's Harmony Link App Updates to 2.0.0 with Dual Device Interconnection
Huawei's Harmony Link (鸿蒙星河互联) application has been updated to version 2.0.0, introducing a new "dual device interconnection" feature. The update follows the launch of the Huawei Mate 90 series.
Huawei's Harmony Link (鸿蒙星河互联) application has received a significant update to version 2.0.0. This latest version introduces a new "dual device interconnection" functionality, aimed at enhancing seamless connectivity across multiple devices. The release of this update coincides with the recent launch event for Huawei's Mate 90 series smartphones and other ecosystem products.
The updated application now supports device-to-device connections, requiring devices to be running HarmonyOS 7 or higher. The "dual device interconnection" feature is not yet universally available, with initial support provided for Huawei Pura X View, Mate 90 series, and Mate XT 2 models. Huawei has stated that broader device compatibility will be rolled out in subsequent updates.
In addition to the new connectivity feature, the Harmony Link app also incorporates "liquid glass" visual effects. These aesthetic enhancements are designed to provide a more fluid and visually dynamic user interface, characterized by transparent and light-refracting qualities.
The Harmony Link app serves to facilitate cross-device and cross-system file transfers. It enables the seamless sharing of content, such as images and documents, not only between Huawei devices but also with Apple products running iOS and macOS. Compatibility requirements include iOS/iPadOS 13+ and macOS 10.15+ for Apple devices, and HarmonyOS 6.0.0.112+ for Huawei devices.
