Huawei's new electric drive system debuts in Luxeed RX

Huawei Electric Technology has announced its new generation high-performance electric drive system, which is debuting in the Luxeed RX model. The rear-wheel-drive configuration of the system achieves an efficiency exceeding 93% under CLTC operating conditions.

The new drive system also reduces the motor's torque response time to under 1 millisecond. This upgrade is expected to significantly enhance the vehicle's performance and agility. The Luxeed RX is part of the HarmonyOS smart car ecosystem, leveraging Huawei's advanced automotive technologies.

Previously, the Luxeed RX demonstrated its capabilities by successfully completing a lane change maneuver at speeds over 250 km/h on a high-speed test track. The vehicle is built on the new Huawei Tu Ling platform, featuring a centralized six-in-one control architecture with a decision-making latency of less than 1 ms.

Pre-sale prices for the Luxeed RX start at 299,800 yuan. The introduction of this advanced electric drive system marks a further step in Huawei's expanding role as a technology provider in the automotive sector.
