Huawei's NG WAN Solution Enters Large-Scale Commercial Use
Huawei has announced the full-scale commercial rollout of its NG WAN solution, designed to support operator growth in the AI era with enhanced security and performance.

Huawei has officially launched its NG WAN solution for large-scale commercial deployment, aiming to bolster operator growth as the industry transitions into the AI era. The company stated that the solution provides a secure and resilient foundation for future network demands.
The NG WAN solution incorporates a multi-layered security system across device, connection, and service layers, utilizing technologies like Threat Protection Units (TPUs) and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) algorithms. Huawei also highlighted advancements in lossless computing efficiency, using its AI Fabric technology to improve network performance and reduce packet loss, which is critical for AI workloads.
Real-world deployments have demonstrated the solution's capabilities. Huawei reported that its TPU solution blocked over 300 attacks in a three-month trial with a major Chinese operator. Furthermore, a collaboration with a Macau operator resulted in a quantum-secure network and a 50% increase in private line revenue. In another case, a health project saw computing costs reduced by 30% and private line ARPU increase fivefold.
According to Huawei, over 60 operators globally have adopted the NG WAN solution. The company plans to continue collaborating with industry partners to accelerate its adoption and support operators in building next-generation carrier networks.
